Job experience paves way for Victoria youth’s teaching career
WHEN CAMPBELL HECK WAS 14 years-old, he learned what it was like to be a youth recreation leader. He participated in West Shore Parks & Recreation’s youth leadership program, which allowed him to volunteer as a helper at the organization’s summer camp, and describes the opportunity as “one of the best experiences” he has had in his life. This experience planted the seed of perhaps becoming a teacher one day.
