WSPRS Announces 10-Year Naming Rights Extension for the Q Centre Arena

Colwood, BC – West Shore Parks & Recreation Society (WSPRS) is proud to announce the successful extension of the naming rights agreement for The Q Centre Arena for an additional 10 years, reinforcing a long-standing partnership dedicated to supporting community sport and accessible recreation.

This extension builds on a strong relationship established over the past 12 years, during which the partnership has enhanced brand recognition for the facility while creating valuable media and promotional opportunities that help connect the community to the centre’s wide range of events and services.

The Q Centre Arena is a spectator facility, home to the Victoria Grizzlies and Victoria Shamrocks that hosts major sport tournaments, trade shows and other community events in addition to its role as an excellent community arena. This 2781 seat arena houses year-round events for both hockey and lacrosse. With an additional floor capacity of 860 people this premier spectator facility can hold any type of event, from trade shows to major sporting and entertainment events

The continued collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering inclusive recreation opportunities and maintaining high‑quality facilities that serve residents of all ages and abilities.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are thrilled to continue this meaningful partnership,” said Kimberley Guiry, WSPRS Board Chair. “Community partnerships like this are essential to keeping sport and recreation accessible, sustainable, and vibrant. This agreement supports opportunities that benefit our community, and we are excited about what the future holds at The Q Centre Arena.”

The renewed agreement will allow The Q Centre Arena to continue leveraging naming recognition and media exposure to promote programs, events, and services that encourage active living and community connection.

Looking ahead, the centre is eager to build on this momentum, with upcoming events and initiatives that will further position The Q Centre Arena as a hub for sport, recreation and community.

“We’re proud to extend the naming rights of The Q Centre Arena for another 10 years,” said Rob Bye, General Manager of Pattison Media, Victoria. “This facility is a cornerstone of our community—bringing people together for sports, entertainment, and shared moments that matter. Continuing this partnership reflects The Q’s long-term commitment to supporting the community we serve every day.”
