Featured Community Project: Westshore Skate Project 100X1000
The only skatepark in the Westshore was demolished in October of 2015 due to the land being sold for development.
Our goal is to find 100 businesses or groups of people who come together to donate $1000 to help fund the Westshore Skatepark in partnership with the Westshore Skatepark Coalition. It is estimated that over 7500 youth have been directly affected. The loss of the park has left a profound gap in the community, an absence of free, low barrier options for youth and families. A skatepark promotes: being outdoors, physical activity, social connectedness, creativity and so much more.
