Youth Night sponsored by Peninsula Co-op

Peninsula Co-op is sponsoring a $2 Youth Night every Friday from 6:00PM until 9:00PM! Have fun in the pool, Indoor Sports Complex or hang out in our youth room. Youth Night will run until Dec. 17, 2021, and pick up again in the New Year on Jan. 14, 2022. WSPR follows all current Covid-19 Provincial Health Orders.

  Featured Community Project: Westshore Skate Project 100X1000
  The only skatepark in the Westshore was demolished in October of 2015 due to the land being sold for development.

  Our goal is to find 100 businesses or groups of people who come together to donate $1000 to help fund the Westshore Skatepark in partnership with the Westshore Skatepark Coalition. It is estimated that over 7500 youth have been directly affected. The loss of the park has left a profound gap in the community, an absence of free, low barrier options for youth and families. A skatepark promotes: being outdoors, physical activity, social connectedness, creativity and so much more.

• WildPlay West Shore Victoria – Monkido Tree Course

  Monkido tree courses is an elevated obstacle courses set in the forests just behind The Q Centre Arena and securely suspended in the trees at 10 to 60 feet off the ground! Elements include Tarzan Swing, zip lines, scramble nets and swinging logs. Visit WildPlay for more information.

• 55+ Activity Centre

  Juan de Fuca Senior Citizens Association is located next to the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre. The Association is driven by membership and completely run by volunteers. To utilize the programs, you must join the Association. Once your membership is paid, the programs you are interested in are free. The only items you may pay for are materials that you may require in some of the programs. The centre is open to the public for the “Showcase of Art”, the Garage Sale and Craft Fair and Friday afternoon Bingo.

  In addition to our own facilities, we also work closely with the Sooke School District to provide evening recreation programs in school facilities by acting as the district’s booking agent, thereby allowing after-hours community access to school fields, gyms and classrooms.
