A new year is upon us, and with it, some great new programs to help you take the first steps toward your fitness & wellness intentions. We are also pleased to introduce our new board of directors - these folks you will recognize as the municipal councillors working hard for your community.

New Fitness Programs

Take a browse through the January to April 2023 Activity Guide and you will notice a variety of new drop-in and registered fitness classes for 2023. There is a class to suit all interests and levels!

New drop-in programs to enjoy:
On the Ball, Stretch & Restore, Total Body Conditioning and Power Core. See the fitness drop-in schedule for details and class times.

New registered fitness programs include:
Stronger & Steadier, TRX for all levels, Aqua Zumba, Youth Fitness Foundations, and Aqua Yoga. Click the program name for more info & register now!

Move better, feel better, and live better with an active lifestyle!  We can develop an exercise plan specifically for you and your condition or injury and demonstrate how to perform your exercises safely and effectively. Try exercise rehab with a kinesiologist in the weight room or pool and feel the difference from having customized support!  Get started today!

As a multi-municipally-owned organization, much of the support for WSPR programs and facilities comes from the West Shore Parks & Recreation Society Board of Directors. Each of our 5 board members was elected to municipal council in October 2022, and each of them has proven to be an enthusiastic supporter of WSPR. 

We are pleased to introduce the new members of the board - feel free to reach out by email, and say hi next time you see these folks - you may even see them around the rec centre, parks or arenas!
