Call for Artists-UPDATE
Local artists from Metchosin and Highlands communities are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to design a piece of artwork which will enhance and provide vibrancy to the new program spaces.
Call #1: Municipal Artists – artists residing in the Highlands and Metchosin Municipalities are invited to apply. An artist will be selected to display their artistry in our New Juan de Fuca Childcare Centre. $500 honorariums.

Westshore Skatepark 100x1000 Fundraising Campaign
The Westshore Skatepark Coalition (WSC) and West Shore Parks & Recreation (WSPR) are working in partnership to a build a new 13,000 Square foot multi-purpose all-wheels skatepark in the Westshore that features 3 distinct areas providing free outdoor recreation opportunities to a large spectrum of participants. This park would support children, youth and families with interests in skateboarding, scootering, BMXing and rollerskate/inline-skating in growing communities of the Westshore.
Our goal is to secure 100 business and sponsors in support of the 100x1000 campaign.

Do you aspire to drive a Zamboni, maybe a bit of a night owl and looking for flexible hours with room to advance your career? West Shore Parks and Recreation is seeking Cleaners, with the starting wage of $23.79 per hour.
Do you remember your favorite camp leader? Did someone inspire you to spark your curiosity? We are seeking adventurous individuals for our preschool and school aged programs to create these experiences right here in the West Shore for all our stir-crazy kids!
