Get ready for the annual “Drop, Cover, and Hold On" drill! If you are onsite at West Shore Parks & Recreation properties during this time, be prepared to hear the announcement and practice this essential earthquake safety measure with us.

Visit shakeoutbc.ca for more information and to sign up for your own drill. Beyond the drill, it is an opportunity to review and update emergency preparedness plans and supplies, and take proactive measures to secure spaces and prevent potential damage and injuries. While potential earthquake hazards depend on your location, everywhere in British Columbia is considered at high risk in relation to the rest of Canada. (source: shakeoutbc.ca)
