Thrifty Foods Skatepark Grand Opening West Shore Parks & Recreation, Thursday, May 4th, 2023
West Shore Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the official opening of the Thrifty Foods Skatepark on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Thrifty Foods Skatepark located in the JDF Lower Park beside the Q Centre.
“The $1,279,900 skatepark, designed and built by Vancouver-based New Line Skateparks, is a world-class skateable/rideable landscape destination that features a hybrid conceptual design. The park is aimed at being welcoming, inclusive, flexible, exciting, and memorable for all ages and abilities,” said Geoff Welham, Manager of Recreation for West Shore Parks & Recreation.
The Thrifty Foods Skatepark Grand Opening will take place on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and will include a ribbon cutting, speeches, demonstrations, and the opportunity for all wheels to come and try out the new park.
