West Shore Parks & Recreation is calling for Artists Expressions of Interests

Local artists are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to design a piece of artwork which will enhance and provide vibrancy to the new program spaces.

  • 3 Calls for Emerging & Established Artists,
  • 7 display spaces provided,
  • 12 artistic works total will be selected for the community to celebrate and enjoy
  • $3600 in honorarium funding available
  • Deadline for submissions is April 1, 2022 at 5PM

West Shore Parks & Recreation Society Seeks Consultant for Recreation Master Plan
The West Shore Parks & Recreation Society (WSPRS), in collaboration with the five municipal owners, has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a qualified consultant to assess the community’s growing recreational needs. As the Westshore region continues to expand, the demand for improved recreational and sports facilities has increased. The Recreation Master Plan will provide a strategic framework to address these needs and guide the region’s recreational development.

Thrifty Foods signs on as title sponsor for new Westshore Skatepark

 

West Shore Parks & Recreation Society is excited to announce that Thrifty Foods has signed on as title sponsor with naming rights for the new Westshore Skatepark being built on the lower park at WSPR!

The day is here when we can all finally celebrate out loud, and in public, the sponsorship of the Thrifty Foods Skatepark!  We are delighted to have Thrifty Foods on board and to be able to share this incredible journey that will end with an amazing community feature in the Westshore. 

Request for Expressions of Interest: Provision of Children and Youth Sport Programming at West Shore Parks & Recreation

SUMMARY

West Shore Parks & Recreation (WSPR) seeks interest from children and youth sport providers for the provision of onsite programming services for Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre’s indoor and outdoor spaces. This RFP will result in the selection of a Proponent(s) from this RFEI to negotiate a Service Provider Agreement to deliver children and youth soccer, basketball and multisport programming services with WSPR.
